Happy Tuesday. Did you have a good weekend? Any fun super bowl plans? Some neighbors came over to watch the game and we all stayed up later than normal but it was worth it to see the dance party that took place with three toddler girls during the halftime show. I had this post almost finished and ready to be published yesterday when our cable, phone, and internet went out and continued to stay that way until this morning. It made for a long afternoon and evening but we made do with jumping jacks in the den, lots of books and an early bedtime, which made up for the night before. So here I am finally able to share this goodness with you.
The name of this smoothie is possibly the only introduction you need. This chocolate cake batter protein smoothie is everything and more. It’s thick, creamy, delicious and yes it’s healthy too. It’s the perfect smoothie for a nutritious breakfast, a post workout snack or simply a healthier treat to help curb your sweet tooth. Basically, it’s the best thing ever.
I want to note that when making this for my toddler I leave out the protein powder.
- 1 tablespoon oat flour
- 1 frozen banana
- ⅔ Cup Almond milk
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional- Sprinkles for topping
- Blend everything together in a blender. Optional- Add sprinkles to top
