Favorites From The Week: 5/8-5/15

Hello and happy Friday. Scottie’s been sick with a terrible cold since we got home from the mountains last weekend. She’s more or less had a fever and a terrible cough off and on all week so we have been stuck at home watching too much TV and missing all of our friends and weekly activities. Hopefully we are on the mend now so we can have a fun weekend with lots of playtime outside. Anyway, I’ve had some time on my hands this week to catch up on some reading so here are a few of my favorites from the week. Have a wonderful weekend.

I finished this book and really enjoyed it. It’s a collection of short stories of the authors life and how it’s been shaped by family, food, love and loss. These are some of my favorite type of books to read as they tell a story and each chapter ends in a recipe.

Vegan recipes that will impress a carnivore. I am clearly not vegan but there are some recipes here I can’t wait to try.

20 Farmers Market Recipes. Another great roundup

Making these waffles this weekend to freeze for a quick, easy and healthy breakfast option for Scottie.

I love this pasta salad for an outdoor BBQ.

This Cake. Seriously, wow.
