Good Morning and happiest of Fridays. Any big plans for the weekend? We’ve never been big into going out to eat for Valentines Day and instead like to stay in and cook a nice dinner at home. Jason has volunteered to do the cooking this year and I requested that he make his famous short ribs to serve over a parsnip puree. (Recipe similar to this one). It’s so good and since we don’t have it often it always feels like such a treat. Sitting back and letting someone else do the cooking is always a treat too so I am 100% content with our plans to stay in. Other than that we are hoping to finish decorating the nursery  and getting a few more things done around the house. I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

10 Ways to Cook With Beet Vegetable Greens

I shared this recipe on on the blog this week that would make the perfect addition to a Valentine weekend movie night or you could give this one a try.

These sandwiches have always been a favorite of mine and according to some of my girlfriends they feel the same way. This recipe looks like a good one to keep on hand.

This snack board is everything. I have an ongoing text message with two of my girlfriends and we are always sending each other pictures like this. I love that my friends appreciate a beautiful food spread as much as I do.

I’m really interested in reading this book.

I love winter squash and this is a great recipe round-up using these tasty vegetables
