Fri-YAY. Yep I just went there. The kids around here just finished up their last week of school which means summer has officially started, regardless of what the calendar says. Our weekend plans involve being around a pool since its supposed to be hot, hot, hot this weekend. Like 95 on Saturday and 101 on Sunday. If we aren’t by a pool we will be soaking in an ice bath. 😛
I hope you all had a wonderful week and are looking forward to another weekend of summer.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had pancakes so I’m thinking these Almond Butter Pancakes are going to make an appearance this weekend.

11 Hot YA Novels for Your Summer Reading List
I’ve started reading much more YA novels and I’m always surprised by how much I enjoy them

Speaking of books I finished The Blue Bistro this week. I’ve read a lot of Elin Hilderbrands book’s and I’ve enjoyed them all. If you like a good beach read then I recommend giving this one, or any of her books if you haven’t yet done so, a shot.

Those chocolate brownie cookies look SOOO good! I’ll have to check out that YA summer reading list! I don’t have as much time for reading recently, so I find myself gravitating towards Ya books since they’re usually quicker reads, but still great!
