Good Morning and happy Friday. I am slow moving this morning as I was up three times during the night with little man and when he woke up the last time at 4:45 I threw in the towel and made a LARGE pot of coffee. Apparently there is a sleep regression around 3-4 months, so I’m hoping this is just a temporary thing. He started sleeping through the night when he was 9 weeks old (which I know is extremely rare) so I kind of got use to the idea of getting a good nights sleep. We’ve been dealing with this for a little over a week now but last night was definitely the worst. Let me know if any of you have any tips or suggestions for getting through this.
Anyway, no big plans for us this weekend just looking forward to a nice weekend at home. We have friends coming over Sunday for dinner and we hope to get to the pool and check out a new ice cream shop at some point over the next two days. This my friends is one of the many reasons why I love summer.

Last Saturday Jason and I celebrated our 5- year wedding anniversary by going back to the place where we got married. Westglow is a spa resort located here in the North Carolina mountains and its known for its spa and holistic approach to health and wellness. Its located on a beautiful piece of property overlooking the mountains and its the perfect place to go to relax and unwind. We stayed one night in the same room we stayed in during our wedding weekend and we spent a few hours at the spa followed by a nice dinner at the restaurant located on the property. Even though we were gone for less than 24 hours it was nice to have that time to relax and hang out with my man.
I’ve made quite a few changes to my diet lately, one by adding more veggies into my meals. As a family we’ve jumped on the Meatless Monday bandwagon and we’re making a conscious effort to add other sources of protein into our diet besides meat. That’s not to say we’ve become vegetarians but it’ s been nice to switch things up a bit. Here’s a look at my lunch and dinner last Monday and I have to say I felt really good and satisfied after both these meals.
