Friday Favorites 8/26/16

Good morning and happy Friday.
We have one more week left before Scottie starts back to school so I’m trying to plan some fun activities so we can make the most of it. She will only be in school three days a week but Parker and I will miss our silly girl. Having said that, I know how much she loves (and will love) being back with her friends and we all can benefit from getting back into a weekly routine.
We have an exciting weekend ahead as we celebrate Parker’s baptism on Sunday. We have family coming in for the service and then everyone is invited back to our house afterwards for lunch. I’m keeping things simple with a build your own taco bar  and I will have the meat cooking in the crock pot while we are at church. Tacos have started to become my go to meal when feeding a crowd since it’s easy and everyone loves them.
The gem below is a shirt I ordered from this site. It’s super soft and it definitely deserves a spot in this weeks favorites.
Have a great weekend!

Loving this easy no-bake granola bar for a healthy snack option.

A Parenthood revival? Please, please please!

These Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffins are happening soon.

I tend to stick to the same smoothie combination (frozen banana, peanut butter, almond milk and spinach) but this one looks like a good reason to switch it up.

Chocolate and peanut butter become one.

This creamy pumpkin polenta with balsamic roasted beets is comfort food at its finest.

I’m also looking forward to the routine of back to school, but I am going to miss my girls. It’s bitter sweet. Love this list. Gotta check out those 5 ingredient granola bars. That is just what my daughter and I were talking about yesterday. Perfect timing.

Thanks for sending me the gentle reminder that I actually need to USE all of the cookbooks that I have. For some reason it is so easy to forget about them!
