I don’t normally recap my weekends here on the blog but this past weekend was to good not to share. It was the perfect fall weekend, however it wasn’t what many of us would consider very “Fallish”. Last Thursday morning we headed to Bald Head Island (on the coast of North Carolina) for my cousins wedding. There really is no bad time to be at the beach but Fall could possibly be my favorite season. The beaches are quiet, it’s not to hot, and there’s an all around feeling of peacefulness and relaxation.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Bald Head Island, its a small remote island that’s only accessible by ferry from the nearby town. No cars are allowed on the island so instead residents use golf carts as a way of getting around. These details are what makes this beach town so special and unique. We absolutely fell in love with Bald Head and we’re already planning another vacation there next year.
As I spend the day preparing for the week and getting back on track after a somewhat indulgent weekend I’ll leave you with some pictures from our trip.
