Weekly Favorites: 10/20/16

I’m switching things up this week and posting my Friday Favorites today (Thursday) because tomorrow is our monthly recipe redux post. I wasn’t able to share my weekly favorites last week since we were out of town so I definitely wanted to get one out this week. I’ve been dealing with a sore back and neck all week (and really off and on for months now) so I finally made a visit to a chiropractor this week. After some x-rays were taken it’s clear as to why I’m experiencing so much discomfort so I will be working with him over the next several months to try to correct it. As someone who loves being active and working out its an incredibly frustrating injury and  I’m more than ready to find some relief from it. Anyway, on to happier news. Monday we met up with some friends at the pumpkin patch. It was 85 degrees so it didn’t exactly feel like fall but we traded out hot apple cider for ice cream and still made the most of the morning.

Last night after I got Parker to bed I was able to sneak away for a quick dinner with some girlfriends and it was good for the soul. Although it was a short visit it was nice to have an adult conversation with other moms and friends over a meal and wine. Sometimes the struggle is real in getting there but I know I need to make more of an effort to have nights away like that during the week.
We’re celebrating my dads birthday on Saturday and we have a birthday party to attend Sunday afternoon so our weekend will be full of family, friends, cake and of course football. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
