As promised here’s a look at the birthday party we gave Parker last weekend. I was really happy with the way everything turned out and the theme was just perfect for our little man. We decided to do a Little Blue Truck theme for  based off the story book. Once we came up with the party theme I ordered the invitations off Etsy and the rest of the ideas and planning came together pretty quickly.

We lucked out and had an unseasonably warm February day so most of our guest and all the kids stayed in the backyard talking, jumping on the trampoline and playing on the swing set.

Sadly I didn’t get a picture of the entire food spread (blog fail I know)but we also had Peanut butter and Jelly & Ham and cheese sandwiches, Pasta salad, and applesauce pouches.

I had heard and witnessed from other birthday parties that Publix is the way to go for birthday cakes. Not only do they make custom cakes but they taste amazing. As long as the cake says happy birthday a smash cake comes with it, free of charge.

My sister-n-law made these adorable farm animal cake pops and they were a huge hit, especially with the kids. What is it about cake on a stick that makes it ten times more exciting?

We had this little blue truck photo booth set up outside. My talented sister-n-law came through again with the booth. The pet balloons were found here.

Our guest were able to take home little treat bags filled with animal cookies, farm animal stickers and these farm animal bendables.

Just like that our little guy is ONE! He is the sweetest most lovable little boy and I am so incredibly grateful to be his mom. Thank you to all our family and friends for helping us celebrate and making his first birthday so very special.
