Friday Favorites: 6/30/17

Well hello and happy Friday. Any early Fourth of July celebrations planned for the weekend? We’re headed to the mountains until Monday but we will be back in town for the 4th to spend the day at the pool. It should be a fun long weekend celebrating our country’s Independence. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend!

My sister-n-law brought these flowers over that she picked from her garden. That sunflower is enormous and this picture was taken after she chopped it down some. If only I had her green thumb.

I finished Tana French’s 2nd novel The Likeness recently and I enjoyed it even more than her 1st. She does suspense like no other and her compelling stories completely suck me in.

I also finished  The Hate U Give, which I was able to fly through in no time at all. This YA novel is inspired by the Black Lives Matter Movement and is heartbreakingly relevant to events happening today. This book is important and honest and should be read by everyone.

These blueberry bites look simple to make and it only requires 4 ingredients.

I’m thinking these Turkey Sloppy Joes  is a meal the whole family will love

I had overripe bananas that needed some loving yesterday so I made these Chocolate workout brownies. I left out the protein powder in which case they’re probably just brownies but either way they were so delicious.
