Hello and happy Friday. I find it hard to jump in here and talk about all the positive things going on when there’s also so much hate and hurt in this world, which became evident again this week in another school shooting. As a parent, I become paralyzed with fear every time something like this happens, which has become far too often. Everytown is raising awareness against gun violence and pressuring law makers to improve our gun laws. Political views aside, If you feel change needs to happen, I encourage you to call, text or donate to Everytown. You can text 644-33 and enter ACT.
This weekend we’re celebrating my favorite little guys 2nd birthday with friends and family. This boy keeps me on my toes daily but he’s also my snuggle buddy and simply the sweetest. My heart swells every time I see him smile and I thank God everyday he chose me to be his mom. We kicked off his birthday weekend yesterday with his friends from school and he had no shame in singing Happy Birthday to himself:)
After hearing so many incredible things about Bear Town I finally got around to reading it. The writing is beautiful and the story will captivate you till the very end. The book takes place in a small town built around a love for hockey, yet the characters and plot could take place in any small town America. It’s about knowing the difference between right and wrong and good versus evil. I gave this book a well deserved 5 stars on goodreads
These chicken meatballs are on the menu for next week, especially with the yummy sauce drizzled over top.
One of my very favorite yoga instructors put out this yoga flow video that’s perfect for those days when you can’t make it to a studio.
I made these Thai peanut chicken thighs this week and they came out perfectly tender with incredible flavor.
I made this Pot Roast for my family for Valentines Day and it was a huge hit with everyone, including the little’s. It’s by and far the best pot roast I’ve ever had.
