Slow Cooker Wild Rice with Cranberries

Ingredients
  • 3- 14 ounce. cans chicken broth
  • 2½ cups wild rice
  • 1 cup chopped carrots (2 medium)
  • 1- 4.5 ounce jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅔ cup dried cranberries
  • ⅔ cup sliced green onion
Directions
  1. In a slow cooker stir together the chicken broth, uncooked wild rice, carrots, mushrooms, melted butter, thyme, salt and pepper.
  2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours. Turn off cooker. Stir in dried cranberries and green onion. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes.
