Almond Tea Bread

This almond tea bread is the perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee or tea as a morning breakfast or afternoon pick me up. It has a hint of sweetness from the honey and the toasted almonds add a nutty crunch. It is best served warm and topped with a smear of butter.

The inspiration for this delightful quick bread came from Eat, Live, Run after she posted this recipe. I used half whole wheat flour and half all-purpose and substituted almonds instead of pecans. It’s so simple to put together, making it a great option for a special weekday breakfast for your family. You can also wrap it up nicely and give as a housewarming or hostess gift to neighbors and friends.
