Happy first day of March. The sign of spring is on the horizon and I am more than ready to say good-bye to the cold and dreary days of winter.
In case you missed my big announcement recently on Instagram our family is headed to China to bring home our little girl. I’ve alluded to us pursuing adoption a few times here on the blog and we FINALLY received the phone call on December 21st that lead us to our girl. It was the best Christmas present we could’ve asked for and since then we’ve been busy planning to bring her home. I can’t believe it’s actually happening in just a few short weeks. I’m feeling anxious, excited and quite honestly scared but mostly I’m just so ready to have her HOME with her forever family.
I hope you all had a great week and a wonderful weekend ahead.
I finished up the It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way bible study this week with Proverbs 31 Ministries. I can’t recommend this book enough. Even if your story isn’t exactly like Lysa’s it’s still relatable as we are all faced with, or will eventually face, hard and difficult times. This book is part memoir and part inspirational encouragement as we deal with struggle and disappointments in life. Lysa’s story is honest and vulnerable but it’s also filled with hope as she walks through some of the most difficult years clinging to God.
Who doesn’t love a good hoagie…..even in the form of a salad.
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this pasta since it came across my news feed.
I switched up my typical banana bread this week for this recipe and it was 100% worth it.
The changing of the seasons has me craving colorful and bright bowls like this one.
Poptarts are a child hood favorite and these gluten-free ones are calling my name.
Taco Tuesday is looking good for my family next week.
